The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) announced a rewards of Taka 1.5 Crore for SAFF Women`s champions Bangladesh Football team in its first executive committee meeting at the BFF office in Motijheel on Saturday.
Bangladesh Women`s Football team clinched the prestigious SAFF women`s crown for the 2nd consecutive times just three days after the BFF Election`2024 shocking hosts Nepal by 2-1 goals in the final at a house full Dashrath Rangasala (Stadium) in Kathmandhu on October 30.
The prize money will be distributed among the players and the coaching staff of the women`s Football team very soon.
Chairman of the newly formed BFF media committee Amirul Islam Babu disclosed its to the media after the day`s first executive committee meeting of BFF chaired by newly elected president Tabith Awal.
Earlier, Adviser for Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan handed over a cheque of Taka one crore on be half of the ministry to the Bangladesh Women`s Football team, which earned a rare honour of winning the 2nd consecutive SAFF Women`s title.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BFF) also announced a reward of Taka 20 lakhs for Bangladesh Women`s Football team for their feat.
In the day`s first EC meeting, chaired by newly elected BFF President Tabith Awal, also formed 11 standing and 14 adhoc committees for smooth running of the football federation.
BFF president Tabith Awal became chairman of three standing committees --Finance, National Teams and Emergency Committee.
BFF senior vice president M Imrul Hassan re-elected as Professional League Management Committee chairman, vice president M Naser Shahriar Jahedi made Development Committee chairman ,vice president Sabbir Ahmed Aref made Dhaka Metropolis League Committee chairman, vice president M Wahiduddin Chowdhury Happy made International Audit Committee chairman and
M Amirul Islam Babu chairman of Media Committee.
